Malaysia's wholesale and retail trade sales rose 4.3 percent year on year to 138.5 billion ringgit (about 30.24 billion U.S. dollars) in June, official data showed Wednesday.
The increase for wholesale and retail trade in the month was attributed to retail trade sub-sector, which rose 5.8 percent to 59.4 billion ringgit, the Department of Statistics Malaysia said in a statement.
For month-on-month comparison, sales value of wholesale and retail trade in Malaysia inched up 0.3 percent. (1 ringgit equals 0.22 U.S. dollars)
