According to the information from the Dianchi Lake Greenway Project of China Construction Sixth Engineering Bureau Corp., Ltd., the first steel floating bridge in Yunnan, located on Dianchi Lake, has been completed and is now open to the public for free. The opening hours are from 8 am to 8 pm daily, including a colorful pathway, scenic landscaping, and the floating bridge, which will provide the citizens with a unique and beautiful recreational place.

The pedestrian floating bridge is located under the Gaohai Expressway Bridge. It is a longitudinally arranged steel structure spanning 260 meters across the water, with a total of 13 spans, each spanning 20 meters. The width of the passage is 4.5 meters, and it has a service life of 20 years. The bridge is divided into the floating bridge section, observation platform section, and landing platform section. The construction of the floating bridge has been completed, with all 63 wind sails fully suspended. The landscape lighting project will be launched soon to create a stunning nighttime view of the floating bridge. In the future, citizens can enjoy the beautiful scenery of "sailing on the emerald waves" during the night.

After the official opening, citizens can visit the Rainbow Trail, the scenic landscaping, and the Yunnan's first steel floating bridge on the greenway. Here, lush greenery surrounds the area, offering a magnificent view of Dianchi Lake and the Western Mountains from afar. Walking amongst them feels like being within a picturesque painting. For cycling and hiking enthusiasts, taking a loop around the Dianchi Lake Greenway allows them to appreciate the scenery while exercising.

The floating bridge incorporates the cultural elements of the "Ancient Gaoyao Ferry" of Kunming, presenting a scene of a fishing village pier. The greenway floating bridge is a water crossing section under the Gaohai Expressway Bridge. In order to avoid damaging the piers of the expressway bridge, a floating bridge was constructed on the water surface to connect the greenway, making it Yunnan's first steel floating bridge. The adorned wind sails on the floating bridge have become a prominent landmark, and also enhances the beauty of the Dianchi Lake Greenway, resembling a vivid painting.

The project has attracted a large number of visitors every day. The project department has opened the floating bridge according to the requirements of the Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, allowing everyone to appreciate the beauty of the floating bridge and Dianchi Lake up close. However, as the project is still under construction, the relevant supporting facilities are being improved, so there are time restrictions for passage. The bridge is open daily from 8 am to 8 pm.

The project department reminds visitors that due to the recent increase in the number of visitors, there are safety risks on the water-crossing section of the floating bridge. Therefore, cyclists are advised to dismount and push their bicycles when passing through. Visitors are strictly prohibited from climbing over barriers and entering the closed cabins. Fishing, swimming, or any activities that may damage the bridge structure are strictly forbidden. Visitors must not touch exposed components such as wind sails, power lines, and connecting bolts, and are prohibited from operating the mooring winch and pulling or climbing ropes on the boat.
