The 14th Annual Meeting of the New Champions, widely known as "Summer Davos", will be held at the Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center in Tianjin from June 27 to 29.
Themed as "Entrepreneurship: The Driving Force of the World Economy", this session of the annual meeting will be attended by 2,000 representatives from the political, business, academic, and media sectors, according to enorth.com.cn, a Tianjin-based news website.
The official website of the World Economic Forum indicated that, to respond to current global economic trend, the WEF is returning to the tradition of "Summer Davos" and convening this year's Annual Meeting of the New Champions in Tianjin.
The meeting will gather global leaders from business, government, civil society, international organizations as well as from among innovators and academics, according to the website of the WEF.
The WEF was established in 1971 as a not-for-profit foundation and is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.
