Every year in late spring and early summer, the blooming blue jacaranda becomes the absolute star of Kunming's landscape. Its swaying blue-purple flowers showcase the charm of the Spring City. 

Recently, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin recommended Kunming's blue jacarandas to the world, and netizens from various places have left comments saying they will visit here and that the purple flowers are truly beautiful.

Jiaochang Middle Road is the most famous spot for appreciating blue jacarandas in Kunming, but there are also other places like the banks of the Panlong River, Qianwei West Road, Qianfu Road, where one can enjoy the dreamy blue-purple colors.

In recent days, bougainvilleas have been blooming for hundreds of meters along the narrow-gauge railway near the Detaisi Temple in Kunming, attracting many tourists and locals to take photos.

The railway section is part of the century-old Yunnan-Vietnam narrow-gauge railway, which has been out of use. 

In recent years, the Lianhua Street in Wuhua District has planted more than 300 bougainvilleas on both sides of the railway, turning the century-old railway into a new attraction, inheriting culture and gathering popularity. 

These lovely flowers grow in clumps of heart-shaped leaves marbled with stripes of light and dark green. Bougainvilleas have quietly embellished the streets and alleys of the Spring City. 

Recently, visitors have been flocking to the rose garden in the southern section of the Daguan Park to take photos and enjoy the stunning variety of roses. This rose garden is considered to have the largest variety of roses in Kunming, with different colors blooming in the wind.

The rose garden covers an area of 13,000 square meters and features 206 classic rose varieties from China, Germany, UK, France, and Japan.

The peak flowering period will last until mid-May, and both locals and tourists have praised it as the "most beautiful rose garden in Kunming."

Every May, the hydrangeas in Kunming Country Park begin to bloom, and their umbrella-shaped flower clusters resemble snowballs. The delicate and vibrant petals are nestled among the elliptical green leaves, creating a colorful and dazzling sight under the sunlight.

April to June every year is the best season for flower viewing in Jiaozi Snow Mountain. From an altitude of 1,600 meters to 4,223 meters, the rhododendrons cover the mountain range like a forest, and the flowers and clouds blend together into breathtaking scenery.

In recent days, the rhododendrons have been blooming one after another, with red, pink, and purple colors covering the mountain. The wind blows, and the flower branches tremble like the shy faces of young girls, painting a picture of vibrant spring scenery.

The Jiaozi Snow Mountain Cultural Tourism Festival of 2023 is currently underway, and there are many exciting activities waiting for you.

Currently, the Xihua Park Iris Exhibition is in full swing and will continue until the end of May. The park's biodiversity conservation exhibition has also been set up. Citizens and tourists are welcome to visit Xihua Park to enjoy these exhibitions.

In recent years, Xihua Park has successfully introduced more than 30 varieties of irises from 5 categories, with a total of nearly 50,000 plants. This has made Xihua Park the best place for iris admiring in Kunming.

The Kunming Botanical Garden is currently holding the 5th Allium Culture and Art Exhibition, featuring more than 14 varieties and over 6,000 blooming allium flowers. The white and purple flower balls sway in the wind, creating a scene comparable to that of Provence. 

The allium garden is divided into several sections, including an area for viewing allium plants, an area for displaying native allium species, an area for edible allium plants, and an area for medicinal allium plants. 

The vast fields of allium plants resemble dreamy "lollipops" and are full of unique charm.
