Excluding biomedical manufacturing, the output decreased 4.8 percent year on year in November, compared to the 2.2 percent increase in October.
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, Singapore's manufacturing output decreased by 1.2 percent in November. Excluding biomedical manufacturing, output decreased by 6 percent.
As for the performance of different clusters, the electronics cluster's output declined 12.4 percent year on year in November, compared to the revised 0.7 percent decrease in October. Meanwhile, the chemicals cluster saw its output decrease by 11.3 percent.
The biomedical manufacturing cluster's output grew 6.9 percent in November. The precision engineering cluster's output increased by 4.2 percent. The transport engineering cluster's output increased by 18.8 percent. The general manufacturing cluster's output grew 10.3 percent year on year in November.
