Outbound Lancang-Mekong Express international freight trains via China-Laos Railway exceed 100

On September 23, loaded with fresh vegetables, fabrics, and engine spare parts, No. 21017 “Lancang-Mekong Express” international freight train consisting of 28 standard containers departed from Mohan border checkpoint towards Laos. At this point, the number of “Lancang-Mekong Express” international freight trains from Kunming to Vientiane, Laos has exceeded 100.

The Lancang-Mekong Express starts from CRINTERMODAL Kunming Central Station and leaves China via Mohan Railway Port. Since its opening, the Lancang-Mekong Express has been favored by customers for its fast customs clearance, high running speed, controllable arrival time, and excellent online-offline service. Its cargo transportation has covered Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Singapore. The categories of goods have increased from more than 100 types at the beginning to more than 1,200 types right now. Up to now, the Lancang-Mekong Express international freight train has shipped a total of 48,000 tons of outbound goods, of which value has exceeded 2.5 billion yuan.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Mohan border checkpoint, after Kunming City has taken over Mohan Town, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, the work of jointly building an international port city has achieved phased results. In the next step, the Mohan border checkpoint will ensure high-quality and efficient customs clearance service to help improve the quality and efficiency of cross-border trade.
