The Yunnan Classic Books Museum opened in the Yunnan Provincial Library on July 15. As the third provincial-level classic books museum in China, Yunnan Classic Books Museum will reflect the development of classic books in Yunnan history through various special exhibitions, pictures, texts, objects, images, and so on, and will tell the contribution and status of classic books in the history of ideology and culture of China and Yunnan.
The Yunnan Classic Books Museum covers an area of 400 square meters and is divided into an exhibition area and an experience area. After opening to the public, it will gradually be built into a comprehensive museum integrating collection, display, research, protection, cultural inheritance, and visiting, and will become a display center of Yunnan precious ancient books, a research and exchange center, a publicity and education center, an inheritance experience center, a cultural leisure center and an important Chinese excellent traditional culture education and dissemination base in Yunnan Province.
On the same day, the first exhibition of the Yunnan Classic Books Museum opened to the public. It mainly exhibited rare books of various periods in Yunnan, local documents, ethnic books and other classic books. The opening hours are from 9:00 to 17:00 every Tuesday to Sunday.
