The Philippines' total external trade in goods grew by 24 percent in last November to 17.25 billion U.S. dollars from a year earlier, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said on Tuesday.
Of the total external trade in November, the PSA said 63.6 percent were imported goods, while the rest were exported goods.
The PSA said the balance of trade in goods in November amounted to -4.71 billion U.S. dollars, representing a trade deficit with an annual increase of 119.5 percent.
China was the Philippines' biggest supplier of imported goods valued at 2.28 billion U.S. dollars or 20.8 percent of the total imports in November, while exports to China comprised the second highest value amounting to 887.48 million U.S. dollars or a share of 14.1 percent of the total exports.
