On the afternoon of December 18th, a couple of Asian elephants tore the shade net in a farm shed. There were herds of elephants eating and wandering in the cornfield, while far away in the mountains, others walked toward the field on a return trip from the forest.
It is rare to see so many elephants here, so the Jiangcheng authorities have adopted several measures to ensure the safety of both people and elephants. Monitors and forest keepers carry out a 24-hour tracking and monitoring of Asian elephants. And early warnings will be send to related people in time. Also, there will be temporary traffic control on the roads entered by elephants.
