Three power companies from China Southern Power Grid conducted the power supply interruption test of the 220kV Puwen traction transformer on Nov. 28. It was the first actual practice jointly carried out by power companies and railway units.
This interruption test aimed to test the response of linkage mechanism between dispatches in case of the failure of external power supply of the China-Laos Railway and whether the reliable power supply could be restored under extreme conditions.
The test of 220kV Puwen traction transformer, as the external power supply of the China-Laos Railway, is significant in terms of analysis of power supply interruption and safe use of power.
The power supply interruption test of the 220kV Puwen traction transformer started at 1 pm and went on successfully with smooth communication and cooperation.
This practice provided valuable experience for how to detect and deal with a power failure in the future.
