China donated medical supplies worth about 2.97 million yuan ($460,000) to three provinces of Laos bordering China — Oudomxay, Phongsaly and Luang Namtha — to help them fight the COVID-19 epidemic. The donation ceremony was held at Mohan port in Xishuangbanna Dai autonomous prefecture of Yunnan province on Tuesday. Donations included automatic nucleic acid extractors, medical oxygen concentrators and ventilators.
The consul-general of Laos in Kunming, capital of Yunnan, said Chinese donations will help Laos in fighting the coronavirus, and it shows the solidarity of the two countries in overcoming difficulties.
