As the Yunnan wild mushrooms have entered their peak harvest season, the washing workers at the Mushuihua market in Kunming city now can make as much as 10,000 yuan per month.

The fresh-picked wild mushrooms in Yunnan were tasty but tender, and in general their washing costs six to eight yuan per kilogram.

“I can wash as many as 100 kg of mushrooms in a day, and my monthly salary exceeded 10,000 yuan last month,” said a washing person at the market.

After the mushroom peak season, the person added, some mushroom washing workers will serve as dealers of fruits or vegetables.
