When the north of China is covered by snow, there is a warm place in the south basking in the sunshine. It is Kunming, the spring city. A netizen named “huph007” recorded the major events of this year by photos and each of them tells a little story. Let’s have a look.
On the eve of Spring Festival, children and I set off fireworks after dinner. Everyone was having fun except my cousin’s son, who was a little depressed. My cousin needed to stay at the frontline of epidemic prevention. He couldn’t go home in such a festival of reunion.
During the early outbreak of COVID-19, people hardly dared to go out. Wearing a mask, I came to the Laoyuhe Wetland Park to photograph tulips, where I saw gardeners decorating the city with flowers.
Children stayed at home for nearly two months. We came to the countryside and took a deep breath of fresh air. The delicate cherry blossoms were blooming in the sunshine. It had been a long time that we hadn’t seen such a beautiful scenery.
My friend and I came to the Red Land of Dongchuan for shooting. We saw the villagers harvesting oats in full swing, which was a rare opportunity for us to take photos.
I came to my relatives’ home for celebrating the Labor Day. My memories of reaping rapeseed with sickles had been replaced by combine harvesters. I used my drone to record people's busy lives.
Haiyan Village on the bank of Dianchi Lake is the best place for Kunming people to enjoy the sunset. In my memory, I have been to this place for many times, but didn’t meet the good weather for once, but this time, I was really lucky.
At the Yueliangwan Wetland Park located in Fuxian Lake, many tourists come here every summer. Two lovely kids were having fun in front of my camera.
The fountain in the Park 1903 is always full of children singing and laughing on hot days. A little girl with bare feet was enjoying the cool of summer.
A family of four was enjoying their time in the Wuyucun Town by Dianchi Lake.
A brilliant rainbow stretched across the sky after the rain. I saw the rainbow at home and rushed downstairs almost without thinking, recording the rare moment with my drone.
The year 2020 came to an end. Although we met a lot of difficulties, a better future will wait for you as long as we still strive for life.
This is the fourth time I've photographed the Geminid meteor shower. At the last moment of 2020, I finally realized a long-expected dream. I am bent on finding out the beauty and recording every valuable moment by my camera.
