Enjoy ethnic charm in Xishuangbanna’s floating markets

Recently, an activity with the theme of floating markets was held at Nine Tower & Twelve Walled in Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. The market features a cornucopia of produce, fresh flowers and fruits.

Hosting a market is one of the important activities during the water sprinkling festival in Xishuangbanna. Due to the epidemic this year, the annual land fair was substituted with floating markets. Dai girls in ethnic costumes sit on the boat, visitors select goods and taste tropical fruits. The circus, colors and atmosphere make it a unique place with rich ethnic charm.
