Mission accomplished, Yunnan's medical heroes returning home

As the two charter flights MU7887 and MU7886 landed in Kunming Changshui International Airport on March 18, 205 medical workers of Yunnan deployed to Hubei province returned home.

After working more than 30 days under great pressure, they finally came back home.

As the COVID-19 cases in Wuhan gradually subsides, medical teams from across China depart from Hubei province in batches. According to the arrangement. The first and second batches Yunnan medical crews left Wuhan for Kunming on March 18.

"Ah, I miss you so much," said a nurse. The flight attendants handed over the love greeting cards written to them, one said, "It means too much for me. Thank you for taking me home." The medical workers took photos with the flight attendants one after another.

Kunming Changshui International Airport warmly welcomed those heroes back with a traditional water salute ceremony. Two firefighting rigs expelled plumes of water forming an arch, and the airplane went under it.

The 205 medical heroes are from 36 hospitals including the Second People's Hospital of Yunnan Province, the Third People's Hospital of Yunnan Province, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University and the Third Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University. The returned medical workers will be quarantined in designated places.
