Laos-China railway company launches recruitment of Lao staff in Vientiane

The Laos-China Railway Co. Ltd. (LCRC), the joint venture in charge of the construction and operation of the China-Laos railway, launches recruitment of Lao staff for the railway's future operation, in Lao capital Vientiane, Feb. 26, 2020. The China-Laos Railway is a strategic docking project between the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative and Laos' strategy to convert itself from a landlocked country to a land-linked hub. According to LCRC, the company will employ around 700 Lao staff for the railway's operation which is expected to start at the end of 2021. (Photo by Li Huan/Xinhua)
