On Nov. 26, the opening ceremony of the Mosuo Folk Museum was held in Luoshui village, Yongning town, Ninglang Yi autonomous county, where near the Lugu lake.It was built in 1997 and opened to the public in 2001. 

The exhibition area is divided into two parts: a static area and a dynamic area. The static exhibition displays over 1000 pieces of Mosuo people's folk cultural relics , living and production objects. The dynamic exhibition mainly shows Mosuo people's intangible cultural heritage products.

The establishment of Mosuo Folk Museum provides a bright window for the outside world to fully understand the history and culture of Mosuo people. It is also a significant base for international anthropology, ethnology and other social sciences to research and practice.
