[InKunming--Kunming] The 2019 SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) Kunming International Marathon will take place on December 1 at the bank of Dianchi Lake in Kunming city. The online registration system runs from 10:00 August 19 to 23:00 September 2. People can log in the official website of SCO Kunming Marathon (www.sco-marathon.com) or an application named “马拉马拉” to register.

It is estimated that 20,000 participants all over the world are expected to compete in four different races; the full marathon (5000 people), the half-marathon (7000 people), a "health run" (5000 people) and parent-child (1000 people) events. At the same time, 200 free seats will be provided and these 200 seats will be exempted from drawing lots and participate in the competition directly.

It is noteworthy that the marathon will be held in the plateau area. Those who register for the full marathon or half-marathon should own professional certificates.

In order to serve competitors better, an exclusive Wechat applet will be developed. The organizing committee will launch some 10-second videos of the event. Children who participate in the race can get T-shirts, race bags, medals or towels.

Besides, with the aim of attracting high-level athletes from home and abroad, the total bonus of the event this year is up to 1.55 million yuan. Moreover, the one who break the record will be awarded of $10,000.
