Nie Er Music Week gives 20 shows to celebrate 70th anniversary of PRC

[InKunming--KunmingOn the evening of July 17, the sixth China Nie Er Music (Chorus) Week kicked off in Kunming. 20 performances in four main parts, including the opening ceremony, chorus performance, excellent arts performance and the closing ceremony, are presented for the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

The opening ceremony brought over ten outstanding choirs from home and abroad. Through recitation and chorus, they gave an audio-visual feast to the guests, contributing to the Yunnan chapter of Chinese dream.

Liaoning, Yunnan, Hunan, and Shanghai are four significant cities for Nie Er and Tian Han, the two famous Chinese composers who created March of the Volunteers together. Four choirs from the four cities performed the classic song Graduation Song created by Nie Er and Tian Han to eulogize beloved motherland.

Except Chinese choirs, the opening ceremony also invited others from France to bring the theme song of the movie Les choristes.
