[InKunming--Kunming] Colorful Yunnan 2019 Ethnic Costume Culture Festival, which was held almost all the year round in Yunnan, took place in Kunming last week. 

An ethnic costume show that was considered as a part of the festival was conducted at 1903 park of Kunming on June 16. 

Beautiful costumes combining Yunnan ethnic minorities’ characteristics with modern fashion elements were displayed on the show consecutively. 

Ke Ran, an inheritor of patchwork and cross-stitch work, said that Yunnan’s traditional culture and handicraft skill could be kept well by organizing such a festival year by year, since costumes exhibited on the show were very easy to attract young people. 

Dozens of costume designers from various cultural creativity companies attended the ethnic costume show. Besides ethnic and traditional characteristics, some cartoon elements which are very popular among young people were also added to the costume design.   

Although the costume show finished at the 1903 park of Kunming on June 16, it received high praises from numerous audience.
