[InKunming--Kunming] A group of Kunming netizens, visited Nuohei village, Shilin county, on April 13, to experience and explore intangible cultural heritages in the locality.
About 50 photographers and culture lovers consisted of the group. They were warmly welcomed by Yi people of Nuohei village with melodies both from Dasanxian, a musical instrument of Yi people, and flutes when they arrived.
In the village, almost each man of the Yi people can play Dasanxian, which is a kind of plucked and stringed musical instrument having nice sounds. The instrument, together with its matched ethnic dance, had been listed as one of the intangible cultural heritages in Yunnan province.
Another intangible cultural heritage, the Nuohei village contains, is Yi embroidery. Patterns, figures, and designs on the Yi embroidery works are so attractive that photographers cannot help taking consecutive photos and culture lovers praised Yi women’s high skills unceasingly.
According to Zeng Fengzhi, the inheritor of Yi embroidery, their hand-made works mainly contain colors of black, blue, white, red, yellow, and green. Yi embroiders like to embroider patterns of sun, moon, cloud, sea waves, ox eyes, cockscomb, horse teeth on their design works.
The visiting activity, lasting a whole day in the village, ended in happy laughters and cheerful voices of all visitors. All of 50 netizens said that the village gave them very good impression on intangible cultural heritages.
China’s famous real estate corporation Country Garden and Cailong Online Community of Kunming Information Hub Media Co. Ltd. organized the activity, and would sponsor more in future, in a bid to let more people know about intangible cultural heritages.
