[InKunming--Yunnan] Yunnan’s foreign trade volume, including export and import amount with several countries, increased by 30% in January, 2019, released by Kunming Customs.
Take Mohan port for an example, plenty of varieties of Thai fruit were brought in Yunnan through the port recently. Agricultural products, rolled steel, mineral fertilizers were also imported in Yunnan through the port.
Mohan, which is located in Mengla county of Xishuangbanna prefecture, is just the epitome of growing trade in Yunnan province. Namely, there were various trades done in Yunnan’s other ports in January.
According to statistics of Kunming Customs, the import and export volume of Yunnan's foreign trade in January reached 19.88 billion yuan (about $2.89 billion U.S. dollars), rising by 35.8% over the same period last year.
Referring to export volume, it reached 9.66 billion yuan (about $1.4 billion U.S. dollars), rising by 84.3%. And for the import volume in January, it totaled 10.22 billion yuan (about $1.49 billion U.S. dollars), growing by 8.7%.
Until now, Yunnan has traded kinds of products with Vietnam, Myanmar, Thailand, Chile, Brazil, and countries of European Union, Latin America. Yunnan’s trade volumes with above-mentioned countries in January increased sharply compared to the same period last year.
At present, Yunnan’s fruit, vegetable, and flower hold favorable export growth. Correspondingly, copper ore and sulphur enjoy obvious import growth in Yunnan.Import volumes of agricultural products and electrical products also distinctly increased in Yunnan.
