[InKunming--Yunnan] Yunnan branch company of China Mobile opened the first 5G (5th-Generation) test base station at Dayan ancient town in Lijiang, which means that 5G technology enters a new phase in Yunnan.

5G is the fifth generation of cellular mobile communications technology launched to succeed the 4G network systems. 5G features high data rate, reduced latency and massive connectivity. For example, It takes several minutes to download a high-definition movie in the 4G era, but only a few seconds in the 5G speed environment, according to the people in charge in Yunnan branch company of China Mobile.

At present, 5G has been put into operation. Yunnan branch company of China Mobile will make every effort to promote the construction of 5G network in the whole province.
