Louis Cha’s Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils to be remade in Dali, Yunnan

[InKunming--YunnanAs one of the classic novels of Louis Cha, Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils is planning to be reproduced. On January 8, a booting ceremony of the new TV play series was launched in Dali city, Yunnan province, where the story of the novel has been designed to happened. It is precisely because of the novel that Dali becomes a martial arts world pursued in the dream of a generation.

Since the Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils was screened, there were five versions during the past decades. The plot is made up of separate and intertwining story lines revolving around three protagonists, Qiao Feng, Duan Yu and Xuzhu, showing the complex grievances in the martial arts world.

It is introduced that the new version will be shot at the scenic spot - Leicuiyuan - which has strong Nanzhao (a local regime in ancient China) culture, unique architecture of bai nationality and magnificent palace garden.

If you are a fan of Louis Cha, the shooting place would be a good choice to visit. Located 400 meters away from Dali ancient city, Leicuiyuan contains two parts including the royal garden area and the folk culture experience area.

Under the theme of “tracing history, displaying humanity and experiencing folk customs”, Leicuiyuan aims to reproduce the imperial garden view in the period of Nanzhao. Buildings are named after the history and culture of ancient Dali. In addition, fine couplets written by 70 famous calligraphers are hung out to make the place be of antique beauty.
