[InKunming--Yunnan] Six Yunnan’s opera performers were awarded “Camellia Prizes” in the evening of January 7 at Yunnan Opera Theatre, announced by Yunnan Provincial Publicity Department.
Four of the award-winning performers staged their wonderful performances at the theatre after they acquired the prizes. Yin Yongping acted as a role of Dian Opera Zhufu (the Chinese word “Zhufu” means Blessing) on the stage. Zhao Wenjie gave a lantern show excerpted from Chinese classic work Dream of Red Mansions.
Zhao Chunfen, and Liu Pengfei, also respectively strutted their stuff on the stage of the theatre in the evening of January 7. All of the performers won loud applause on the day.
A principal of the Yunnan Provincial Publicity Department said that to award Yunnan opera performers is to spread and flourish Yunnan culture, and to give top opera performers more opportunities to show themselves.
