[InKunming--Yunnan] The Jiaozi Snow Mountain, located at the junction of Luquan county and Dongchuan city in Yunnan, is 120 kilometers away from Kunming city. With 4,247 meters in altitude, it is named after its sedan-like shape. 

Jiaozi Snow Mountain is composed of Jiaozi mountain, Qiwang mountain, Dongying mountain, Guanyin mountain and other peaks. The main peak is 4223.4 meters above sea level, which is regarded as the highest peak in central Yunnan. Visitors could admire landscapes of four seasons on the mountain due to its typical mountain glacier landform.

Not only shows magnificent snow-covered views, the Jiaozi Snow Mountain also has abundant protected animals and protected plants, such as forest musk deer, taxus yunnanensis and so on. In 1989, Jiaozi Snow Mountain was listed as a nature reserve in Kunming. In 1994, a provincial nature reserve with a total area of 16,456 hectares was established within the mountain with the approval of Yunnan Provincial People’s Government.
