[InKunming--Yunnan] Ten new railways will be put into service by the end of this year to enhance the capability of China's high-speed rails, according to China Railway. A new train diagram will be put into use on January 5, 2019.
The change will make high-speed railway services available for the first time in a dozen cities, including Fuxin and Chaoyang in Liaoning Province, Chengde in Hebei, Tongliao in Inner Mongolia, Mudanjiang in Heilongjiang, Rizhao in Shandong, Lianyungang and Yancheng in Jiangsu, Ya’an in Sichuan and Lijiang in Yunnan.
At the same time, with the rapid advancement of upgrading and renovation project of Lijiang Railway Station, it is expected to be completed by the end of this year. The railway route from Dali to Lijiang has been expanded as well.
The travel time between some cities will be greatly shortened. It will take three hours for passengers to travel from Lijiang to Kunming, and nearly 50 minutes from Lijiang to Dali.
There are 10 stations from Lijiang to Kunming according to the current public information. They are Lijiang, Dali, Dali East, Xiangyun South, Yunnanyi, Pupeng, Nanhua, Chuxiong, Guangtongbei and Kunming.
