[InKunming--Yunnan] Plants and vegetables always wither when winter season comes. But in Changning County, Baoshan City, Yunnan Province, this natural law is unavailable, reported by a correspondent of the county. 

Vegetables such as chilies, beans, egg plants and cucumbers that normally grow in summer season could also be seen and planted in Changning County right now. 

Since the county is located in a valley area, which is surrounded by mountains and nurtured by Mengboluo River, owning special dry-warm valley climate.

Farmers living the area could plant seeds of chilli, beans and other "summer vegetables" in September this year, and then harvest these vegetables’ fruit in present December.

To farmers of the county, they could earn more money than other framers from the other counties of Yunnan Province during the winter season. To food lovers, they could acquire more choices on vegetables for the area’s special climate and unique production.

In Changning County, especially the area that near to the Mengboluo River, kinds of summer crops and vegetables are planted. It covers over 30,000 mu, and is called by local people as the "Green Treasure Pot in Winter".
