[InKunming--Yunnan] The 2018 Mengla Tropical Rainforest Cross Country Running Competition will be held from December 31, 2018 to January 2, 2019 in Mengla county of Xishuangbanna prefecture in Yunnan. The application channel has been opened, and more information will be put on the official website (http://utrma.saihuitong.com/m/event?id=152805).

During the three-day competition, participants will run through the water-sprinkling plaza of Mengla county, Xishuangbanna tropical forest national park, Wangtianshu park, Laos Boten, tropical rainforest and so on. 

The number of participants is limited to 300. Anyone who wants to join the new year’s activities needs to offer passport. The entry fee is 999 yuan including accommodation, transportation, visa and other services. Participants will be available to visit the scenic spots mentioned above for free, and will be invited to three grand galas. 

Routes:

Day 1, December 31, 2018

Starting from the water-sprinkling plaza in Mengla county, the half marathon route has 21 kilometers and will finish at Wangtianshu park. After the running, competitors can take the coach to the Mohan port to Laos. They will welcome the new year with a grand new year’s eve party on a beautiful night. 

Day 2, January 1, 2019

This day will have a 30-kilometer cross-country race, which means competitors will run across paths in old-growth forest. After the race, they will have the opportunity to treat themselves a delicious dai flavor barbecue.

Day 3, January 2, 2019

The 21-kilometer race will start from the visitor center of Xishuangbanna tropical forest national park. As the last day of the marathon, the whole route will be located in the park. Competitors will experience the an unforgettable adventure in such a wonderland.
