[InKunming--Yunnan] From December 1, 2018 to February 28, 2019, visitors from Yunnan Province can enjoy a 50% discount on ticket price when they go to A-class tourist attractions in Guizhou Province, including thousand miao villages xijiang. Namely, Yunnan people only need to pay 45 yuan (original price 90 yuan) per person to enter thousand miao villages xijiang and the tourist bus inside the scenic spot is still 20 yuan for each person.

At present, some villages in thousand miao villages xijiang are celebrating their new year of the Miao ethnic groups (lasting about one month). Visitors can have a tour there to experience locals’ customs and taste Miao food.

There are 10 major activities during the new year. Among them, the miao people intangible cultural heritage & poverty alleviation achievements exhibition tour held on November 18 is the grandest one. The young and the old, about 1,300 miao people dressed in their costumes walk in the main streets. 

It is understood that there are 13 intangible cultural heritage at national level, 9 items at provincial level and 22 items at prefecture level in Leishan County, showing the long history and splendid culture of Miao people in eastern Guizhou. 

There are two means of transportation for Kunming citizens to travel in Guizhou. One way is driving private car and another way is taking the high speed train.
