[InKunming--Yunnan] In recent years, local fruits farmers in Lijiang, Southwest China's Yunnan province have been cooperating with shipping companies through the city's e-commerce platform, helping the Lijiang snow peach to enter the vast consumer market beyond the city.

Lijiang has an average elevation about 2,500 meters and is blessed excellent natural, ecological and climatic conditions. Lashi town in Yulong county, along with several other areas, are especially suitable for planting snow peaches.

Due to the strict requirements on its growing environment, the production of Lijiang snow peaches is not high.

At present, about 5,000 mu (333.33 hectares) of snow peaches are planted in Lijiang. In recent years, the Lijiang snow peach has become famous due to its beautiful appearance and sweet, succulent taste, but limited production has made it difficult for consumers to buy.

Liu Guiquan, one of the local fruits farmers, cooperated with YTO Express to sell his products in domestic coastal cities.

The express company has provided assistance in packaging the fruit and strives to deliver them in a timely manner. One box of 12 peaches requires an inflatable column to ensure that they are not crushed or damaged while in transit.

Snow peaches can arrive in Yunnan province within a single day, while air transport is required for delivery to more distant first-tier cities such as Beijing and Shanghai.

During this year's snow peach market season, YTO Express delivered about 1,000 orders with a total of 10 metric tons of snow peaches.
