[InKunming--Kunming] The 2018 SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) Kunming International Marathon will kick off on December 2 in Kunming, Yunnan province. The registration closed on October 7 and a total of 41,626 athletes from 51 countries and regions have registered after 18-day enrolment. The amount is doubled compared with the previous one.

The SCO Kunming International Marathon is warmly welcomed this year. About 15,000 participants have registered on the first day of enrolment. Among them, 57% are men, 43% are women and there are 3,868 children. 

From October 8 to 20, the organizing committee will randomly select 20,000 athletes to compete with each other in the marathon. Meanwhile, they will also invite excellent athletes to participate in it. The results will be published on the SCO official website and official We-chat account on October 22. Those lucky athletes will receive a notice by message or E-mail.
