International shows staged at Daguan park in Kunming

Visitors can not only admire groups of giant chrysanthemum flower basket comprising with more than 500 varieties of all kinds, but also can enjoy food from all over the world while watching the international shows performed by foreign artists.

The most unique chrysanthemum flower basket with a height of more than 4 meters and a width of more than 6 meters were specially made to celebrate the National Day. It was made of 100,000 flowers.

Those foreign shows feature 46 well-known performers from six countries, including UK, Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Spain and Romania, and will interact closely with visitors.

Experience minority customs in Yunnan Nationalities Village

From October 1 to 7, Yunnan Nationalities Village will launch a celebration themed on Kuoshi festival of Lisu nationality. Brilliant performances, such as climbing a ladder of swords, drinking with bamboo straws, penetrating crossbow competition and Dulong facial tattoo custom show will give audience a new experience about the culture of ethnic minorities in Yunnan.

Moreover, visitors can try the special cuisine of Yunnan’s minorities, such as Hani baked tofu, Dai roasted fish, etc. At night, there will be a lively and passionate torch bonfire party in Jingpo village square.

Ride a bike to meet golden rice field in Guangnan

The 1st mountain bike racing in Guangnan will start on October 2. Participants are required to ride along a 32-kilometer road which has beautiful scenery and fresh air. Of course, there is another option which is only 8 kilometers in case of some people can’t make through the longer one. 

The top 50 will be presented with trophies, as well as bonus. All finishers will receive a medal and a certificate for the sake of encouragement.

Tour and Taste the Harvest in Xizhou, Dali

Drive along Dali road, you can smell the aroma of rice in the air. The sky is that of transparent blue. Beyond the road, Erhai lake (洱海) lies beside Cangshan mountain. Several folk houses of Bai nationality are located in the golden rice field.

In this beautiful autumn, Xizhou will launch a paddy dinner just in the last rice field. Visitors will enjoy an organic rice feast surrounded by yellow paddies. In addition to food tasting, visitors enable to experience rice threshing and other farm activities.
