[InKunming--Yunnan] With the arrival of autumn, more than 13 square kilometers of marigold bloom in Jie Tou town of Yunnan’s Tenchong city, at the foot of Gaoligong mountain, attracting a large number of tourists and opening up new channels for local farmers to become rich.
The marigold flower is native to Mexico and is a good material for natural lutein extraction. It symbolizes “health and longevity” in China, and owns a flowering period of about 100 days.
“We met each other in Tengchong, and took our wedding photos here as well. The beauty of flowers make here like the Oriental Provence.” Wang Cheng, who came from Shaanxi province to spend honeymoon, was photographing his wife.
Tourists come to the marigold field, which also brings increased income to local farmers. In addition, there are entertainment projects, such as ancient paper making workshop, fishing village, resort, low-altitude flight, pastoral experience, mountain sports, forest sports, etc..
