[InKunming--Yunnan]  2017 modern agricultural promotion activity of Yunnan themed on ‘Yunnan Characteristics & Charming Farmers’ was held in Beijing. More than 170 agricultural leading enterprises from 16 states and cities of Yunnan presented over 1000 kinds of products.

The promotion activity somehow become an annual event to be held in Beijing in winter in recent years. It provides Beijing citizens with fresh Yunnan agricultural products. All the exhibition halls mainly showed the achievements of the cooperation between Beijing and Yunnan by combining local characteristics with industrial characteristics.

The most popular products at the event are various local cuisines, such as flower cake, Zhanyi Spicy chicken, Xuanwei ham, Pu'er Tea and the like. Given the unique advantages of high quality and ecological products from Yunnan, these products have gradually taken a place in Beijing residents' shopping list.

Local agricultural products of Yunnan were sold to Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei provinces by means of the two previous promotion activities. It is said that over 400 agricultural enterprises attended and the sales volume at the exhibition reached 40 million yuan. The enterprises signed agreements (1.98 billion yuan), to promote the development of 100 projects, according to the head of the Provincial Department of Agriculture.

The event will end on December 10th. The exhibition consists of 16 states and cities and 20 thematic exhibition halls, covering 3,000 square meters. Meanwhile, a series of wonderful activities will be held as well. For instance, exhibition and sale of agricultural products, "one to one" production and marketing meetings, video broadcasting and so on.
