[InKunming--Yunnan]  A wild Asian elephant visited to Jinggu County(景谷县) again and acted frequently in some of the villages lately, causing certain losses to the local. It has been 15 years since wild elephant first appeared in the county in 2002.

Villagers reported that there was a wild elephant coming to eat corn and fertilizer on December 3rd. Yunnan Jinggu County Forest Public Security Bureau immediately initiated emergency mechanism after receiving the report. The forest police came to the village in time, tracked the whereabouts of the wild elephant and coordinated with insurance company to pay compensation to villagers.

Villager Li said, he saw elephant' droppings and footprint on the mountain in the morning. At 1 pm, he found that the wild elephant was eating banana in the place which was about 4km from the village.

Until the morning of December 5th, the wild elephant was still eating crops near the village, but no casualties were reported. The forest police organized people to observe the movement of elephants to prevent harming happened.
