Citizens are selecting moon cakes.

[InKunming--Kunming] The 2017 Mid Autumn Festival Food Expo& first Kunming Moon Cakes Festival kicked off at Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center in Kunming on September 20th. More than 200 enterprises display over 5000 kinds of commodities, providing a feast with delicious moon cakes.

With the theme of “Conveying Emotions and Relishing the Moment”, the festival has presented brand moon cakes from 20 provinces in China and foreign countries like Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and so on. Visitors can not only purchase exquisite moon cakes, but also buy some other products from the exhibition center.

The representative enterprises participating in the Expo include Panxiangji, Jiahua, Jiqingxiang,Sberga, Tianlun and Crown of the Moon.

Different kinds of moon cakes from Yunnan, Guangdong, Hongkong and Taiwan have gathered in the Expo. Moreover, traditional moon cakes with fillings of lotus seed paste, five smashed nuts and ham as well as other contemporary moon cakes like ice-skin moon cakes will also appear at the Expo, giving people more options to choose from.

"Although the prices of raw materials and labor costs keep rising, sellers are prudent when pricing the moon cakes since consumers would not purchase them with ridiculous prices in recent years. Thus, compared with that of last year, the price does not witness a huge fluctuation. As for moon cake package, the gift box costing between 120 RMB to 200 RMB is more popular”, said Liao Ming, the chief executive officer in administration of Sberga.

Apart from product exhibition, many wonderful activities such as food tasting, baking masters’ works exhibition, tea tasting, wine tasting and folk performances will also be held during the festival. The festival will last 11 days and will end on the last day of September.
