[InKunming--Kunming]  Canadian government lately announced that they would set up a visa center in Kunming, from which local residents could get benefits.

Once the center is built up, Kunming residents could save time, money and energies to apply for a Canadian visa in the locality rather than in Chongqing as they does right now.

Seven new visa centers are to be set up in China this year, released by the Canadian government, distributing in Nanjing, Shenyang, Jinan, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Chengdu, and Kunming.

Visa applicant should pay certificate fee(about 500 yuan as per latest exchange rate), service charge(around 182.3 yuan) and biological fee(425 yuan per person) for acquiring a visa.

Approximately 15 to 20 days are required to be taken for processing the visa by the Canadian government. Then the applicants could get the visa to travel, visit, study or even emigrate in Canada.

"Relative data showed that about 35 million Chinese people plan to travel in Canada every year, giving a signal to those who wish to go to Canada should apply for visas at least 2 months earlier before their departure." A principal of a Kunming travel agency said.

Next year 2018 is the "Year of Tourism between Canada and China", predicted to welcome a large number of Chinese tourists to travel in Canada. Therefore, the Canadian government has made some preparations in a few of fields, such as at fields about visa, flight, and hotel.

With Canadian visa, holders could also travel to Korea, Singapore, Philippines, Turkey, Peru, and some other countries conveniently.
