[InKunming--Kunming]  Metro line 3 and the first phase of Metro line 6 started trial opeartion with passengers at 10:00 today (August 29th). The metro lines are like a cross backbone network, connecting the main city towards coach stations.

Metro line 3 and the first phase of line 6 are located on the East-West corridor of the main city. Metro line 3 connects the center of Kunming with four coach stations, promoting the development of traffic. The first phase of metro line 6 meets the demand of passengers who need to take airplane. It reduces the time consuming on the way.

Metro line 3 route reaches to 23.35 kilometers and has 20 stations. All the stations from west to East are Western Hills Station, Chejiabi Station, Puping Village Station, Shizui Station, Dayu Road Station, West Coach Station, Mianshan Station, Changyuan Middle Road Station, Xiyuan Station, Liangjiahe Station, City Stadium Station, Panjiawan Station, Wuyi Road Station Dongfeng Square Station, Tuodong Stadium Station, Dashuying Station, Jinma Temple Station, Taiping Village Station, Hongqiao Station, East Coach Station.

Metro line 6 is heading for airport. The total length reaches to 25.6 kilometers. The four stations from west to east are East Coach Station, Dabanqiao Station, Ahead of Airport Station, Airport Centre Station.

Besides, the metro line 3 runs from 6:20 to 22:45. it costs about 43 minutes for one-way trip. The interval between two trains during peak hours is just 6 minutes. The first phase of metro line 6 operates from 6:20 to 22:20. the running time of one-way trip is 16 minutes and a half. The interval between two trains is a quarter.    

With passenger line 3 and line 6 phase of the trial operation, Kunming railway operating mileage reached 88.76 kilometers, 57 stations in the country, transit city ranked 15 (including four municipalities).

In a nutshell,the mileage of Kunming rail transit reached 88.76 kilometers after the trail operation of metro line 3 and the first phase of metro line 6. It ranks the number 15 around China.
