  The 12th China & Chenggong Cultural Tourism Festival will be held at Dounan Flower Market during August 14th to 15th. Citizens and visitors could listen to folk songs, appreciate flowers’ art products and taste delicious food then.

Under the theme of “Mapping Huadu & Colorful Chenggong”, organizers will add some stuff related to national civilized city into the classic folk events. In this way can realize the combination of traditional custom and modern arts by presenting the intangible cultural heritages and folk culture.

It is said that the festival will arrange lanterns, Yunnan drama and folk song competition. Participants from all over the world could take part in the activities as long as their ages are between 5 to 70 years old. The preliminary competition will be held on August 14th while the final on the next day.

There are two June months in the lunar history this year according to the lunar calendar. Namely, the second torch festival will be held on August 15th. All the people could experience an unusual carnival night then.    

Chenggong is crowned as "the Hometown of Flowers" and "Flower City". Dounan Flower Market has accumulated knowledge concerning with flowers for more than 30 years. Nowadays, it is the biggest fresh flowers cut market in China even in Asia. The most representative flower car will parade around Dounan. Meanwhile, those who are interested in wonderful bouquet could go into the flower venture exhibition then.

Besides, the event folk songs concerning with flowers is another spotlight. More and more flower factors will give people new experience. Those who participate in interactive games have chances to receive free marine museum tickets. Plus, the lantern performances will be launched in the afternoon of August 14th.
