[InKunming--Kunming]  An air route connecting Kunming, the provincial city of Yunnan Province, and Vientiane, the capital of Laos, will be launched on May 30th, according to the announcement released by Sichuan Airlines.

The new route which connects Kunming and Vientiane is scheduled to fly on each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The flight 3U8709, which will be operating by aircraft A320, leaves Kunming at 08:50, reaching Vientiane at 09:20. The return flight 3U8710 leaves Vientiane at 10:30, reaching Kunming at 13:20(local time).

At present, Sichuan Airlines offer cheaper tickets to customers who need to transit from Chengdu, Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing and Guangzhou to Kunming. The one-way from Kunming to Vientiane costs 199 rmb while the round-trip flights cost 288 rmb. Moreover,citizens in Kunming can just pay 99 rmb for one-way trip and 169 rmb for round-trip if they want to travel to Vientiane. But all the prices above are before tax.

It is said that Yunnan branch of Sichuan Airlines has opened 38 domestic and international routes. People can take planes from Kunming to many Southeast Asian cities, such as Nha Trang, Johor Bahru and Da Nang etc.
