Lucky Air's plane A330

[InKunming--Kunming]  An direct air route connecting Kunming and Moscow will be launched on June 12, according to an announcement released by Lucky Air on May 10th. It is the first intercontinental airline flying to Eastern European neighbors in Yunnan. It is only takes about 9 hours for Yunnan people to travel in Russia in the near future.

The flight, operated by Lucky Air on a wide-body aircraft A330-300, is scheduled to fly on each Monday and Friday during June. The flight 8L9503 leaves Kunming at 10:55 , arrives in Moscow at 15:05 . The return flight 8L9504 leaves Moscow at 17:05(local time), reaching Kunming at 6:30 the next day. Moreover, one more flight will be added to operate on each Wednesday.

"The opening of the air route between Kunming and Moscow means that passengers bid farewell to the history of transiting in other provinces." Jiang Shuqiang said, the general manager of sales department in Lucky Air, it is helpful to boost economic and cultural exchanges between Yunnan and the outside.

Besides, people who is not in Kunming city could fly to Kunming without paying a penny and then buy a ticket to Moscow in the early period. Namely, they can just pay the one way ticket 3400 rmb before tax as Kunming people do.

"I believe that more European tourists and domestic tourists will be attracted to travel in Yunnan as the air route starts running." Duan Xuegang said,the deputy director of Yunnan Tourism Commission market development department, Yunnan will conduct various activities to promote Yunnan in many European countries.
