[InKunming--Yunnan]  In China, stories of Journey to the West have been handed down from one generation to another. With the aim of presenting the classic in a different way, the first children's version about Journey to the West started shooting in Jinghong City, Yunnan Province on February 2nd.

The classic Journey to the West tells interesting stories of a Buddhist priest named San Zang and his three disciples involving Monkey King, Pig and Friar Sand as they travel west in search of Buddhist texts.

With this background, four adorable children act as San Zang and his three disciples in the film where a series of hazardous stories is intelligently designed for the sake of spreading positive energy and practicing core socialist values. On the road to the west, four actors will punish evil-doers and encourage people to do well according to original version of Journey to the West. Namely, it is a wonderful film, voicing Chinese unique historical and cultural features.

At present, the film scenes have been shot on national 4A-level scenic spots located on Xishuangbanna Prefecture, Yunnan. In this way, can Yunnan's specific local features be presented to the world, such as theravada buddhism, rainforest wonders, ethnic custom performances and the like.

Besides, the actor or actress of the film have been selected through layers of screening. The famous kids' star King and Dou Xinhao are the leading roles. Moreover, more than 30 populace actors are selected around China.

When the film finishes its shooting, people could watch it on Internet or via television. Spectator not only could watch fairy stories, but also appreciate the gorgeous landscapes of Xishuangbanna.
