[InKunming--Yunnan] Yunnan Provincial Foreign Affairs Office launched an opening ceremony for Cambodian Language Learning on January 10th in Kunming, in a bid to strengthen diplomatic cooperation with the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Present consul general of Cambodian Consulate General in Kunming attended the ceremony. He said:“Cambodia and Yunnan maintain good relations of cooperation all the time. To strengthen bilateral relations, our Consulate General with Yunnan Provincial Foreign Affairs Office will altogether organize Cambodian language study classes.”

All officers from Yunnan Provincial Foreign Affairs Office participated in the ceremony and learned short Cambodian sentences from an officer of Cambodian Consulate General in Kunming on site.

“Friendship between Yunnan and Cambodia is long-standing and well-established. I believe that acquiring Cambodian language for Yunnan foreign affairs officers helps to strengthen bilateral relation.”Li Jiming said, the leader of Yunnan Provincial Foreign Affairs Office.

Languages are bridges that connect China with its surrounding countries. Except for Cambodian language, officers from Yunnan Foreign Affairs Office will learn other languages in future, as well.
