[InKunming--Yunnan] The first bullet train G4136 took a departure from Kunming South Railway Station at 10:00 a.m. on December 28th. It arrived at Qujing North within 32 minutes, reaching Fuyuan County and Guiyang with 52 minutes and 2 hours and 21 minutes respectively. It not only draws closer between Yunnan and Guizhou, but also marks Yunnan province's entry into the nation's high-speed railway network.

Yunnan HSR makes wonderful culture of minority ethnics well-known

Passengers in G4136 wearing their own ethnic costumes greatly formed a gorgeous landscape. As a matter of fact, those representatives from ethnic minorities all over Yunnan were invited to experience the first bullet train.

those representatives from Lisu, Nu, Dai, Naxi Dulong and a host of other people expressed their passion with stunning performances, which let the bullet train like an ocean teemed with joyful moments.

He Kunhua from Pumi People and Dong Chunlian from Dulong People were satisfied with the bullet train. ”It is the first time for me to take the high speed railway. I feel so smooth and comfortable under such a rapid speed. I really hope to promote the special agricultural products by seizing the opportunity. Only in this way can more and more people know the beauty of my hometown.” Mrs. He said.

There was a special guest named Zhong Zhaoyang who had retired on April this year. He has been working on the first line in charge of maintenance of internal combustion engine for about 36 years. A lot of medals hung his clothes. Among those medals, one told people that he was awarded “national labor model” in 2010.

Mr. Zhong had been working in a small station in Mengzi in 1980. He actually took the high speed railway starting from Yunnan. Without doubt, he has witnessed the journey of building high-speed railway network. “the high speed railway has always been the dream of railway staff. Now our dream came true and there are tons of happiness in my heart.” he said.

Expect for those old generation like Mr. Zhong, there are many HSR people like Zheng Boting, who has been working in common speed trains for about 8 years. Now she is a attendant in HSR. “ The moment finally came and we are all torched and excited because we have prepared for this moment for a long time.” she shared her opinions about HSR.

In fact, one train conductor and two attendants are responsible for each train, which means that every attendant has to provide all the services covering four carriages. What’s more, high services quality requires attendants to stand the whole running process. Facing such a big challenge, Miss Zheng said they would be rough to do the tough job.

Yunnan HSR gives train fans countless joys

Peng Wan, a 28-year-old train fan from Kunming, took a day off work to catch the first bullet train departure from his hometown.

"When I was a kid, I took a train with my parents from Kunming to Guiyang for the first time. From then on, I started to collect train tickets. Until now, probably I have stored near 300 tickets varying from 1960s to now.”he said.

When time goes by, collecting train tickets is not merely a hobby but an belief that he is supposed to follow. Peng Wan has became a staff in railway system. As a result, siting on the fine HSR means something marvelous to him.

Peng Wan loves collecting train tickets, so does Rao Yin, a 27-year-old man from Kunming. He was admitted by East China University of Science and Technology in Shanghai. "I took a train from Kunming to Shanghai when I was in college. It took at least 30 hours and one time took 56.08 hours. The travel time from Kunming to Shanghai has been reduced to 11 hours . It is awesome." he said.

Most importantly, Yunnan HSR boosts the interaction between Yunnan and Guizhou. The residents living in the two provinces are able to take advantage of easier access to visit relatives and run businesses.

Kunming-Baise railway synchronously to put into operation

On the other side, the Kunming-Baise railway section D4208 was put into operation synchronously starting from Kunming South Station. It took 3 hours and 12 minutes to Baise.
