Yunnan to see 3 high-speed railways start running within the year

[InKunming--Yunnan] Altogether 3 high-speed railways will start running in Yunnan within the year, connecting Kunming with Yuxi, Shenzhen and Shanghai respectively, revealed by deputy director of Kunming Railway Bureau on a live talk show yesterday (October 27th ).

Among them, Kunming-Shanghai High-speed Railway will operate around 30 pairs of trains per day. Moreover, this route will pass by cities of 6 provinces, including Changsha, Hangzhou, Nanjing, etc.

The second one is Kunming-Nanning High-speed Railway. From 25 to 30 pairs of trains are planned to be operated every day after the route start running. Meanwhile, an intercity high-speed railway that connects Kunming and Yuxi will also be opened within the year.

After operation of all the above 3 high-speed railways, passengers will save a lot of time when travelling to the most parts of China. For instance, it will only take 10 hours for passengers to travel between Kunming and Beijing, which takes about 36 hours by train at present. Travelling from Kunming to Shenzhen will only take no more than 7 hours.

The construction of high-speed railway stations in Yunnan is drawing to a close. However, prices for riding these high-speed railways are still waiting to be published.
