[InKunming---Kunming]  On the nights of August 6 and 7, two ballet performances the Prince and the Pea, and Sleeping Beauty, performed by Saint Petersburg State Children's Ballet Theatre, will be shown at Kunming Theatre.

Saint Petersburg State Children's Ballet Theatre, founded in 1992 by artists of Mariinsky Theatre (teachers - graduates of the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet) from Russia, has about 100 children, aged 7 to 17 years.

The theater has a studio of classical ballet. The studio recruited children who already have a choreographic training. These children with high qualification used to be invited to perform in many countries, including Austria, Hungary, Great Britain, France, Belgium, etc.

The children's ballet theatre, probably ranked at the first place in the world, makes up dances for children only. The upcoming dance performances The Prince and the Pea, and Sleeping Beauty, in Kunming, were adapted from Hans Christian Andersen's Fairytales, full of fantastic sections and children's fun.
