[InKunming--Kunming]  In recent days, a voting activity about "Most Beautiful Wetlands in China" was initiated by CCTV around the country. Dianchi wetland, because of its comprehensive strengths, finally won the first rank within the voting activity, and got a title of "the Most Beautiful Wetland in China".

In the past, area of Dianchi Lake shrank very quickly. Natural ecosystems within and around the Dianchi Lake were tremendously destroyed for human kind's action to land reclamation.

However, through about 20 years' unremitting endeavor, wetlands within and around the Dianchi Lake were established one by one. Establishment of wetlands gradually changed natural ecosystems within and around the Dianchi Lake.

Thanks to the wetlands, water quality of the Dianchi Lake became better year by year. Vegetation restoration work within and around the lake was done step by step.

It is said that plant species around the lake are increased by 58 during the past 10 years. Endangered animals including wild cormorant and anabarilius alburnops reappear in the lake in latest years. Number of bird species that inhabit and hibernate in the lake increase.

Besides, unauthorized constructions around the Dianchi Lake were instructed to be demolished one after another. Area of wetlands around the lake and area of the lake water were enlarged.

Under the organization of CCTV, in the voting activity that was taken a few days ago, Dianchi wetland in Kunming acquired 110,628 poll, turning into "The Most Beautiful Wetland of China" in fact.
