[InKunming--Yunnan]  A road accident on Monday afternoon in southwest China's Yunnan Province has left five people dead and six others injured, the local publicity authority said on Thursday.

The accident happened around 4:20 p.m. when a truck loaded with coal went out of control and ran into a house after colliding with a car in Zhangjitun village, Zhenxiong county.

Two people died at the scene. Another nine who were injured were taken to hospital, where three subsequently died, including the truck driver.

An investigation into the accident continues.
