[InKunming--Kunming]  Daguan Park: tulips

A Tulip Exhibition kicked off in Daguan Park, Kunming on February 8, and will last until February 28. The park was decorated with tulips in every corner. The tulips are various both in variety and color. A manager of the park: “The park exhibited a total of 120,000 tulips, including 22 species. ”

The park will hold activities such as lantern show, wind chime festival, etc. during the exhibition.

Jindian Park: camellia

Camellia is the city flower of Kunming. The 9th China Camellia Expo kicked off on January 20 in Jindian Park. Camellias in the park are flowering.

Jindian Park has the biggest camellia growing and admiring base in the world. It is also a home field of the ongoing camellia expo this year. At present, camellias are in full bloom in the park.

Cuihu Park: tulip, magnolia flower

Cuihu Park is a popular free park in urban Kunming, which has a large amount of visitors in usual. The park holds tulip exhibition around the Chinese Spring Festival every year. This year, the park exhibits 80,000 tulips.

Besides tulips, magnolia flower and camellia are also flowering in the park. Visitors could admire both flowers and black-headed gulls during the upcoming Spring Festival.

Tanhua Temple Park：peonies

The 4th Tanhua Temple Peony Exhibition is to be organized from February 13 to March 20 in Kunming, which will exhibit more than 2,600 peonies in 22 species and 9 colors.

Tanhua Temple is renowned for having the earliest peony flower in China. At present, some blooming peonies have been shown in the entrance of the park.

The peony exhibition is expected to enjoy a bigger scale than before. Altogether 6 scenic spots will be arranged. Meanwhile, over 10,000 seasonal flowers and 3,100 cyclamens will be exhibited during the exhibition.

Plum blossom is usually metaphorized as people’s noble and unsullied character in China.

Heilongtan Park: plum blossom

The 19th Kunming Plum Blossom Exhibition is underway in Heilongtan Park of Kunming recently.

The plum blossom exhibition has 3 highlights. It is said that 12 unique structured windows to admire plum blossom scenery are distributed along the main road. At the same time, 20 old plum trees, which are over a hundred years old, are also in bloom and exhibited in a theme of environmental protection. Besides, new layout and design skill are used in Plum Blossom Bonsai Garden Area, which may bring fantastic experience to visitors.
